The island
of Mallorca is a perfect place to practice our favorite sport, I could list
every reason, from climatology, the orography, complementary offer, communications
with most important Europe airports…
But one of the great charms is the variety of
landscapes, not having to choose between
sea and mountain, because here we have that magical combination for mountain
biking.
Definitely
one of the best places on the island to ride is Banyalbufar, a small town west
of the Serra de Tramuntana, UNESCO Universal Heritage.
It has the
ideal setting for mountainbike, located between sea and mountains, built on terraces
from the roman and muslim age, with a rugged coastline have many coves that
tourism has not arrived.
The slope
of the land goes from sea level to 950 meters. It’s the highest point called Sa Mola de Planissi. Here
any route easily exceeds 1000 m. of accumulated climbing therefore has all the ingredients as
a destination for fans of ENDURO-ALL
MOUNTAIN.
